Precision Machining students have been hard at work in lab and diving into a variety of projects at the direction of Mr. Lafevre. Cameron McNamara worked on surface grinding a class project. Evan Williams worked on programming and running a part at the Haas CNC Mill. Landon Pfleiderer worked on being safety certified on a manual lathe.

Mrs. Gray's Pre-Calculus class works hard on Trigonometry. They reviewed back over compound functions with trigonometry inverses and reciprocals.

Partnering with local businesses, students are given the opportunity to assess and use the concepts and ideals learned during their two years in the program. This time spent in the "real world of business" is priceless.
This week Ms. Tara (Early Childhood Education) completed all of the lesson plans in KCCC's Preschool for our unit on discovering the children’s author and illustrator Todd Parr.

Bob Boss, retired president of Park National Bank, spoke to Consumer Math students recently. He shared information on banking, loans, credit, and fraud with students. His biggest piece of advice? "Be nice to people!"
KCCC seniors are able to earn the opportunity to take their career tech skills to businesses and industry during their senior year by meeting academic grade, attendance, behavior, and performance expectations in their career tech lab and academic classes.
Students in Mrs. Swanson's Physics class tried to make sense of the physics of friction. Students were in the moment of applying math to motion when these photos were taken. Students were having fun learning!!

Mr. Matheney & Mrs. Troyer taught students how to balance a checkbook recently. Mr. Moore was working with students on filling out a bank deposit slip. Our teachers and staff enjoy teaching students the basics to succeed in everyday life!
Seniors in Metal Fabrication & Welding worked to replace and fix a piece on a straight plow. Students in Metal Fabrication & Welding use modern equipment and welding techniques to fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components.
Seniors in Cosmetology worked on creating their own fantasy haircolor project. They had a great time being creative.

Mr. Clippinger, KCCC's Building Trades instructor, provided OSHA 10 Training to Metal Fabrication & Welding, Building Trades, and Landscape Design & Management students recently. OSHA 10 Training's purpose is to promote workplace safety and health and to make workers more knowledgeable about workplace hazards and their rights.
While Metal Fabrication & Welding students were getting OSHA 10 trained, Mr. Broseus, KCCC's Metal Fabrication & Welding instructor, taught Building Trades & Landscape Design & Management students how to weld.

KCCC's Student Council and Pre-Profesional Mentorship hosted a sewing service project for Ryan's Case for Smiles. Students learned about the organization and the needs of patients and families at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Our students learned to use a sewing machine and serger to create pillowcases. They sewed, ironed, and serged 74 pillowcases to donate to children in the hospital. Thank you Ryan's Case for Smiles for the opportunity to learn and serve with you!
A representative from Ohio Technical College (OTC) visited KCCC recently to speak with students in Collision Repair about opportunities at OTC. Great opportunity for our students!
HVAC juniors and seniors visited the IBEW/Electrical Apprenticeship Training Facility in Newark. Students learned about the Apprenticeship "earn while you learn" opportunity. Students participated in hands-on training activities throughout the day.

This group of students just completed KCCC's first Pharmacology class (first semester)! Great job! Mrs. Rine really enjoyed teaching this course and she had a great first group of students!
Ms. Paige (Early Childhood Education) did all of the lesson plans for this past week in KCCC's Preschool on our Space Unit! Some of the concepts that we covered were:
“There are many faraway objects in space, like moons, stars, planets and asteroids.”
“We live on the planet Earth!
The projects that are on display are name constellations! They were done in the writing center to help the students with writing the letters of their names and putting them in the correct order!
Other activities included: having our own space station, writing in moon dust, stamping space shapes, counting stars, and investigating the solar system!
