I loved my lab and classes but my favorite part of my KCCC experience was JROTC. Integrity is doing what's right even when no one is looking. I learned that while in JROTC and I live by it today!

It's hard to sum up everything that Knox County Career Center means to me, honestly. I attended KCCC from my sophomore year to senior year. The experience I had the career center was simply priceless. I gained so many valuable relationships and mentors along the way. I was around staff who wanted to see me reach my potential and were willing to help me do so daily. I can't thank KCCC enough for helping me get to the point I am today.

ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT:
KCCC means everything to me. I made so many amazing friends and had experiences that I'm still grateful for today. While I didn't go into teaching, I gained valuable life skills while at the career center. I learned how to interview, create a resume, how to give a presentation, and so much more. I actively use skills that I learned from my time at KCCC every day.
Happy Father's Day!

KCCC gave me a head start for college by already having a background in medical terminology and anatomy & physiology. I started in the Horticulture program and switched over to Sports Medicine & Exercise Science. The program jumpstarted my fitness journey, which I still use today. I am grateful for my time at KCCC.

I currently work for the United States Postal Service out of Cleveland, Ohio, as an Occupational health nurse handling on-the-job injuries, emergencies, and accommodations and helping employees get back to work after an injury. Along with one other nurse, we are in charge of caring for all of Northern Ohio's Post office employees.
KCCC meant a new beginning for me. My entire nursing career all began here and it's where I devote my success from. Mrs. Eisaman taught us so much. When I got to college, I had already known a lot of the content of my first year of nursing school, where other students did not know it. It all came from Mrs. Eisaman and I had known it for 2 years. I got my first nursing license (STNA) and my first nursing job from going to KCCC. Not only that, KCCC prepares you for interviews and workplace etiquette and it stays with you for the rest of your life. I still use the same resume template that Mrs. Bell helped me make my senior year in 2017. I just update it every year. The career center also had so many extracurricular programs to be involved in to excel. It was like taking an extra step to be even more prepared for adult life. Now, I still go back to KCCC every year as I have sat on the Health Technologies Advisory Board for going on 7 years now and I am happy and proud to be able to help create and have input on curriculum to teach and grow new STNAs who may even go further with their careers.
KCCC's Facility Operations Team is hard at work getting KCCC's facilities & parking lots ready for the 2024-2025 school year! Facility Operations members have been painting classrooms, waxing floors, and crack filling/seal coating our drives and parking lots (amongst many other things) on our main campus and Yauger Road. Thank you, Facility Operations Team, for all your hard work this summer!
