The first day of school is tomorrow (Wednesday) for sophomores & juniors and for all students on Thursday. Please call us if you have questions at 740-397-5820. Parents may drop off students between 7:30 a.m. and 7:50 a.m. in the parent concrete drop-off area by the flag pole (Parent Drop-Off Loop in black on the diagram with green arrows). Pull all the way forward, drop off your student, and pull out turning left. Parents, please do not enter the bus loop to drop off your student, which is the blacktop drive closest to the school (purple arrows). Preschool parents may begin using the parent drop-off loop at 7:50 a.m. High School parents should use parking spots rather than the loop after 7:50 a.m. to prevent getting stuck in the Preschool parent drop-off traffic.

Schedule Pick-Up Day is two days away! Parents/guardians, over 425 of you have completed your FinalForms. We still have 250 or so to go & need as many of you as possible to complete FinalForms prior to SPU Day! Knox County Career Center is partnering with FinalForms for all of our online forms for the 2024-2025 school year. This partnership should create a user-friendly approach to completing online forms. FinalForms need to be completed by each student’s parent or guardian by the first day of school. However, in order for students to pick up their schedule, each student’s parent or guardian will need to complete FinalForms. FinalForms can be completed at KCCC on Schedule Pick-Up Day but we encourage parents or guardians to complete them prior to Schedule Pick-Up Day if at all possible. Below we have provided information that will help you complete your FinalForms. Please contact us at 740-397-5820 if you have questions. Items of note: *Parents/Guardians - You will receive an email (See FinalForms Instructions PDF) from FinalForms. Please click the link and create your password. AFTER COMPLETING YOUR PASSWORD - The next page will ask you to verify your student’s activities. Do not do anything with this. Scroll down and click “Skip, not a student-athlete”, which is in green. From there you’ll be able to start completing your FinalForms. IMPORTANT: If you DO NOT receive an email from FinalForms (see sample in the FinalForms Instructions PDF) please contact us at 740-397-5820. *Returning students - You will not receive an email from FinalForms until your parent/guardian completes their portion of FinalForms. Once your parent/guardian completes their forms you will receive an email through your school email that prompts you to create a password and then complete your FinalForms. *New students - You will not have access to your school email until the first day of school. At that point, you will follow the same steps as returning students (see above). *Knox County Career Center’s FinalForms are not connected to your associate school’s FinalForms for school and/or athletics. KCCC's Children's Garden is back open from dawn to dusk after a recent act of vandalism. The Children's Garden is maintained by KCCC students, staff, and instructors during the year and by paid employees during the summer. Ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the Children's Garden, along with the cost of the recent vandalism acts, are paid for by the Knox County Career Center School District and grants that are written. Donations and volunteer groups are always welcome. We would appreciate everyone joining us in keeping an eye on the area and reporting any issues to the Mount Vernon Police Department if you witness any damage being done to the Children's Garden. If you are in the Children's Garden and you see that there has been something damaged, please notify us at 740-397-5820.
