Safety Advice from NASA:
Eye Safety During a Total Solar Eclipse
Except during the brief total phase of a total solar eclipse, when the Moon completely blocks the Sun’s bright face, it is not safe to look directly at the Sun without specialized eye protection for solar viewing.
Viewing any part of the bright Sun through a camera lens, binoculars, or a telescope without a special-purpose solar filter secured over the front of the optics will instantly cause severe eye injury.
Thank you to Knox Public Health for providing eclipse-viewing glasses to our students!

AgScience 1 juniors had the opportunity to achieve their Boater Safety Certification. Ohio law requires boaters born on or after January 1, 1982, to complete a boating course or a proficiency exam to operate a boat with more than 10 horsepower, as well as other personal watercraft. Through our AgScience class, we were able to offer this free of charge to our students. ODNR Division of Parks & Watercrafts Officer Jason Pendleton presented the information to the students, who then took their tests. Twenty-two students took the test and all passed! Congratulations!
