Monday was 70's Tie Dye Day as we said Peace out to drugs, tobacco, vaping, and alcohol.
Mrs. Rine & Mrs. Bush hosted karaoke during our three lunch periods on Monday!
At the Ohio School Counselor Association Conference in Columbus, Mrs. Nowicki and Mrs. Bush's work was honored with the OSCAR Award, which has many criteria they had to meet to qualify for this award. Mr. Fisher was also honored as the Advocate of the Year. We congratulate each of you! We are so work of the work our Student Services Department does each day in serving our students!
KCCC's FFA traveled to the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis. FFA officers toured industries and visited local attractions. Our students joined over 70,000 other FFA members from around the country. KCCC students attended the opening session, FFA Expo, and FFA Rodeo. They had a great time!

COSHOCTON DRIVER TRAINING Cost is $335 for in-class/in-car ($345 for non-KCCC students) Classes are available throughout the year. All current & incoming KCCC students who are 15 years and 5 months can register for the class. Call 740-552-1639 or email safedrivertraining@yahoo.com to register. Students will need to provide their first and last name along with the KCCC lab they are enrolled in. The Knox Public Health Drive to Succeed Grant can support students who need assistance with funding.

Knox County Career Center (KCCC) will host Open House/First Chance Application Night on Thursday, November 21st from 4:30-6:30 pm. This event will be open to the public. Business partners, alumni, and community members, along with current students and their families will be in attendance. In addition, current sophomores and juniors at our associate schools, along with their families, will have an opportunity to visit KCCC’s career tech programs. Sophomores can visit any of our two-year programs. Juniors will have the chance to visit our senior-only program, Pre-Professional Mentorship. Students will have an opportunity to apply in person in the cafe. If students are unable to attend this event the application window will be open from 4:30-midnight by visiting www.knoxcc.org and clicking on “Apply Now”. On the Rise Bar-B-Que and Buddy’s Local Eats (food trucks) will be selling food at this event. KCCC’s Culinary Arts students will be selling coffee and pastries out of the River Room Cafe and WNZR will be broadcasting on-site and doing live interviews. We will have a dunk tank featuring Mr. Riggle as we look to raise money for Knox County Food for the Hungry. KCCC swag will also be handed out during this event. KCCC seniors participated in mock interviews with local employers. Students were evaluated on their resume, introduction, appearance, questioning period, and overall employability. Mock interviews are conducted with students each year in preparation for job interviews with future employers.

Kokosing representatives visited KCCC on Tuesday this past week to share opportunities that Kokosing has to offer and answer any questions students had for them. We appreciate our partnership with Kokosing and appreciate them coming out to share with our students!

Students in HVAC worked on their senior project where they installed a working full HVAC system, heating, and cooling, with ductwork.
Students in HVAC install, maintain, diagnose, and repair residential and light commercial heating, ventilating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and environmental controls.
Mrs. Adkins and Mrs. Kallay, KCCC English teachers, get extra excited each year when they teach Henry David Thoreau's Walden! His words of wisdom can be a great reminder to us all to simplify, slow down, and appreciate the lessons that living each day can teach us.

Juniors and seniors in Metal Fabrication & Welding visited the Iron Workers Local 172 Apprenticeship Training Facility. Students participated in training activities and learned about the structure, wages, and benefits of the Ironworkers "Earn While You Learn" Apprenticeship program. Great opportunity for our students!!
