KCCC seniors are able to earn the opportunity to take their career tech skills to businesses and industry during their senior year by meeting academic grade, attendance, behavior, and performance expectations in their career tech lab and academic classes.
Sports Medicine & Exercise Science students collaborated with Individualized Career Exploration (I.C.E.) students to provide some physical activity (volleyball game) during lab.
Students who spend time doing something physically active are more engaged afterward in the classroom and lab setting.
These two programs partner together once a week. Great example of our programs working together!

Juniors in Health Technologies learned about Shock & Trauma. Mrs. Eisaman demonstrated how to apply a pressure bandage to stop the bleed. Students also learned how to apply a tourniquet.

Students in Mrs. Swanson's STEM class wrapped up the study of Material Science by examining the properties of glass by blowing bubbles and making Rupert Drops with Jolly Ranchers. Our teachers love to be creative in the learning process! The students really enjoyed this activity!

Juniors in Automotive Technology replaced a faulty Door Lock Actuator on an Acura MDX during lab this week.
Students in Automotive Technology work on vehicles and mechanical systems in a modern automotive environment.
KCCC had some of our staff attend an in-service on Friday, Jan. 12 at Camp Because I Said I Would, where they learned about resiliency, mental health, grief, and the steps to making promises. Staff also learned about opportunities for future partnerships for both staff and students. Thank you, Camp Because I Said I Would, for hosting us! We appreciate it!
