Patriot Day
We Will Never Forget

KCCC families,
Earlier this evening we were made aware of a social media threat directed at Knox County Schools in another state. While this situation pertains to an out-of-state situation, the Mount Vernon Police Department and our local Sheriff's Department are fully informed and monitoring the situation.
Even though no threats have been made to any local districts, and out of an abundance of caution, there will be an increased law enforcement presence at our schools on Wednesday. As safety remains our top priority, we continue to take all necessary precautions to maintain a secure environment.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Students attending Knox County Career Center participate in sports and extracurricular activities at their home school. We love getting out to support our students in their activities!

Students in Ms. Metzger’s Environmental Science classes recently learned about the Tragedy of the Commons, in which resources are overused and potentially run out if not managed correctly. One example is overfishing. Students simulated this by ‘fishing’ for popcorn. One round, they couldn’t talk, and the second, they could communicate how they would fish to ensure a population was sustained.

Mark your calendars!! Knox County College Night is Monday, September 30th from 6:30-8:00 pm at Energy Fieldhouse. Over 60 representatives will be in attendance.
We will post the list of colleges that will be in attendance once that information is released.
