Juniors in Health Technologies have been working on their STNA skills in lab. They are working hard, having fun, and doing a fantastic job!!
Students in Health Technologies explore a wide range of health careers through practical lab experiences and a college science curriculum.

Students in Culinary Arts manage and operate a full-service restaurant while obtaining certification.

KCCC's River Room Cafe will be open to the public on select dates in April and May. Guests will need to check in at KCCC's main entrance and sign in with a photo ID. Guests can then enter through the River Room Cafe entrance (side of KCCC) or a student will come up front and escort guest(s) through the building to the River Room Cafe.
Any questions regarding the River Room Cafe should be directed to Chef Russo. He can be reached at mrusso@knoxcc.org.


Congratulations to our Landscape Design & Management students who competed in the FFA Nursery and Landscaping Finals at DACC. Our team finished in 4th place. Kennedy Auker won 1st place in Zero Turn Mower and 2nd place in Mid Size Mower. Auker also won 9th place individual out of 307 students. Hudson Henry won 2nd place in Zero Turn Mower.
Great job!! We are proud of you!!!



Juniors in HVAC passed the EPA 608 Certification, allowing them to handle, purchase, and install all refrigeration equipment. Big credential for our HVAC program! Congratulations! We are proud of you!

KCCC seniors are able to earn the opportunity to take their career tech skills to businesses and industry during their senior year by meeting academic grade, attendance, behavior, and performance expectations in their career tech lab and academic classes.


Knox County Career Center (KCCC) students in Landscape Design & Management competed in the National Collegiate Landscape Competition at Colorado State University that was held March 17-22. KCCC was 1 of 2 high schools that competed in the event with over 50 schools and 700 competitors.
Charley Beheler placed 21st in Compact Excavator. Hudson Henry placed 25th in Compact Track Skid Steer. Ava Pullins placed 13th in Construction Cost. Layla Crase & Mason Vallance placed 21st in Hardscape. Hudson Henry placed 19th in Mini Track Loader. Kennedy Auker placed 18th in Sales Presentation. Jerako Salva placed 22nd in Tractor Backhoe. Charley Beheler & Hudson Henry placed 37th in Truck & Trailer. Lauren Perry placed 53rd in Turf & Weed ID and 71st in Wood Plant ID. Layla Crase, Kennedy Auker, and Grady Row placed 33rd in Plant Install.

The SkillsUSA State Competition was held in Columbus, Ohio on March 18th & 19th at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.
The SkillsUSA State Competition brings over 5,000 competitors, business and industry partners, instructors, and vendors together in over 100 contests in all 16 Career Pathways to showcase Career and Technical Education in Ohio.
KCCC had 17 students who competed in various SkillsUSA State competitions. Albert Ross (Precision Machining) was awarded the Gold (1st place) in CNC Turning and advanced to the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference, which is held June 23-27 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Evan Williams (Precision Machining) was awarded the Bronze (3rd place) in CNC Milling. Iona Hickerson, Miracle Bartal, and Emma Seymour (all 3 in Health Technologies) were awarded the Bronze (3rd place) in Career Pathways Showcase: Health Services. Dylan Springer (HVAC) was awarded the Bronze (3rd place) in HVAC.


Congratulations to Jody Goetzman, KCCC Board Member, for being honored as a STAR Board Member at the 2025 OSBA Central Region Spring Conference! STAR stands for Service, Training, Aptitude, and Recognition, reflecting their dedication and commitment to education.


Pre-Professional Mentorship students recently completed their second mentorships. Students had amazing opportunities, during the month of February, to mentor with businesses and individuals in the community in career fields they are interested in pursuing. February career interests/opportunities included: probation officer, athletic training, nursing, police officer, military, central intelligence, acting, food service, and engineering. Students had a great time, and learned so much!
Pre-Professional Mentorship is a senior-only program. Students have the opportunity to explore various career fields and college majors while making connections in local businesses.
