Ms. Arielle, a senior in Early Childhood Education (ECE), taught lessons on pets to KCCC's Preschool children. Children learned that pets are part of our families and teach us responsibilities. Children participated in the following activities in learning about pets:
-Created their own pets
-Set up a veterinarian office
-Pet counting
-Dog bone sorting game

Student Council had an amazing day at Nationwide Arena!
-Retired Landscape instructor of KCCC, Jim Scott and Alec Rivers, welcomed students to Nationwide Arena for Health & Wellness Day. Students ice skated, toured the arena, and learned about the history of Nationwide Arena, Columbus Blue Jackets, Worthington Industries, and the game of hockey.
-Students worked with a physical therapist and trainer from Ohio Health to learn about different movements and how to improve range of motion and performance.
-Students participated in a panel including a dietitian, EMT, Firefighter, nurse manager from Ohio Health, and a Blue Jacket's athletic trainer. Students were encouraged to harness opportunities and to network with those they know and interact with. The panel encouraged them to learn what they enjoy doing and what they do not enjoy doing.
-After the conference, students enjoyed trying different types of food at Rodizio Grill!
-Students ended the night at the CBJ game. Lilli Allen and Kerry Kennedy earned the "benchwarmers experience" by participating in Health & Wellness Day. They got to sit on the bench with the CBJ team during pregame. Jonah Gribben, Carson Ross, and Addi Trace got to play a hockey game in bubble suits on the ice between 2nd and 3rd period. CBJ lost 0-4, but everyone still had a great evening!




Todd Parr
Ms. Logan, a senior in Early Childhood Education (ECE), taught lessons on Todd Parr. Children learned from Todd Parr that it is ok to be unique and we should be find and help others. Children participated in the following activities in learning about Todd Parr:
-Making self portraits
-Making helping handprints
-Exploring emotions
-Emotion spot match game

Ms. Lily, a senior in Early Childhood Education (ECE), taught lessons on Eric Carle. Children learned that Eric is an author and illustrator and teaches us about science. Children participated in the following activities in learning about Eric Carle:
-Making the very hungry caterpillar
-Exploring different insects
-Butterfly counting
-Measuring caterpillars
-Retelling the story of Brown Bear, Brown Bear

Ms. Alondra, a senior in Early Childhood Education (ECE), taught lessons on oceans. Children learned that there are five oceans in the world and that oceans are made of salt water. Children participated in the following activities in learning about oceans:
-Ocean animal letter match
-A shark pool to compare different kinds of sharks
-Ocean item size comparing
-Painting pufferfish with forks

Stephen Moore from Black Sheer Graphics provided a demo for Collision Repair students on how to do a vinyl wrap on a bus. This project was for the Giving Hope Charity. We appreciate Black Sheer Graphics coming out for this demo!










PPG provided training on collision repair for the SkillsUSA state competition. Students in Collision Repair, along with students from several other programs at KCCC, will compete in the SkillsUSA state competition this Tuesday and Wednesday in Columbus. Thank you to PPG for providing the training! We appreciate it!


Mrs. Gray's math class celebrated Pi Day last week. The morning classes made "Pi" pancakes, and the afternoon classes had round food, including pie! Students also participated in a Pi digit competition! Fun, creative activity to engage students in learning!
